Dylan,
I’ve not met Leah, but looking at your life in New York and the work the two of you have done together, it looks like a terrific match. I just wish I’d gotten the “Fungi” print. Don’t know why I like fungus, but that print was great.
Susan.
Leah,
I just found your work today via pinterest and I am so inspired!
I graduated from Parsons in 09′ [I studied fashion] and it has been such a huge regret of
mine to not have switched over to illustration. So now, I am trying my hardest [at age 30] to teach myself “proper” <-? illustration technique…. I dunno… anyways, I love all your patterns. That is a love of mine, after illustrating children's books…and hope to combine the two someday. I love coming across other girls' work who are doing just that…it makes me work even harder.
hope this message finds you happy and well.

This is such a nice note to receive! I know exactly how you feel, I just switched earlier on – I originally wanted to study fashion as well, but somehow fell into illustration after Foundation year. Thank you for all your kind words, I’m so glad I can inspire in some way. Your blog is wonderful too, all of your drawings and paintings are so nice!
xoxo
Thank you Leah, that really means a lot to me! :) How funny that you originally wanted to do fashion…be glad you went a less superficial route… “wink wink” besides, your scarves [which I plan on buying one here soon] are beautiful, so you dodefinitely have the talent to do textiles! And how fun that you can nail both areas. :) xo
gosh, you guyses kitchen is seriously perfect! you get teh best light in there and have all the best little things. you need to come to dead horse bay with me sometime to get more of those little milk glass jars for more pants!
Thank youu! And yes please let me know when you’re going next, I want to go so badly after seeing your haul from last time, and I hear there’s lobster on the way?! Sounds like a dream day trip.
