Growing and growing
A couple film snaps from my favorite part of the house. The grain of the film seems a little more honest, like we didn’t clean up for the photos or edit out the awkward parts. We’ve done a couple posts on the kitchen here and here but it seems to have changed so much since February. It’s strange looking back at old photos and seeing how much my plants have grown; they’re all old friends now. Dylan built shelves into the window to help disguise the burglar bars – definitely the biggest improvement since our last post. At one point we even had bean stalks growing up and around them.

my kitten kinda destroyed my air plant! i cant imagine having all those other plants with him, too! sad day.
Oh no! The only plant Moses wants to devour is our big spider plant, but we put it up on the top shelf. Occasionally he’ll knock a pot over or bat at the succulents until the plump leaves fall off and turn into toys for him. If we catch him screwing around with the plants though, we usually try to give him a squirt of water and then he runs off… usually to go scratch at the couch or to participate in some other squirt-deserving activity. For the most part he’s good around the plants though!
Love it !
I love all your plants!
Thank you! (and I love your work!) xx
Oh my! How refreshing. These are my favorite indoor plant inspiration photos yet. My husband and I wish to bring in more plants so that we can enjoy them all year long (cold Montana weather). But I’ve always been afraid of the giant plant vine motifs like in the 70′s and the corner of doctor’s offices. This is just beautiful. Do you have a list of names of your plants? Solovely.
Thank you, I’m so glad! I would just go for it, the more plants the better. I’m not an expert, but I do know most of the kinds we have. On the top shelf that you can’t really see are two spider plants, the middle shelf to the right is a tiger’s jaw aloe & a prickly pear, the long hanging ones on the left and right are two philodendrons. Most of the rest are various succulents, and a couple kinds of ivy I don’t know the names of. Best of luck with your own indoor jungle!
